LEADERSHIP COURSE(:
yesterday i went for the leadership course at sentosa!
it was TOTALLY COOL AND FUN!!!(:
i wanna go again!!!
maybe for the higher level one.

i'll just summarize what we did, there was this camera man which took pictures and videos of what we did, so hopefully i can get them (they were burnt into a cd and given to us :D) and post on my blog! (:
ITS REALLI ENTERTAINING.
ok.. these are what we did:
- reshuffling of positions with everyone standing on chairs
= according to age, according to height.
- walking blindfolded across a "mine field"
- incredible race (around sentosa)
= to go to 13 different locations and discover what is written on some signboards, like "water cooler", "have a nice day" etc.
- archery
- lunch
- built a building structure using MOUSE TRAPS!!!
- moehog walk
= the main aim of the whole activity is to cross three connected strings together with only two spotters (and without coming down from the string)
- plank lever thingie
= basically, all of us have to get on this plank with a lever below and have to try and find a way to balance the whole plank to a straight 180 degrees.
- debrief
- dinner at harbourfront centre, subway! :D
all the activities are very very fun! (:
our instructor is called clemen, if you spell it that way, and we had a small activity whereby all of us (22 of us) have to squeeze on ard 10 chairs. after that, cleman asked us to reshuffle and arrange ourselves according to our AGE. HAHA. me, jillian, elvin, just CHIONG AH all the way to the "youngest" side, which was fortunately v near us. and fortunately, again, we are facing the wall, so me and jillian clung onto the wall for our dear lives, with only ard half a foot on the chair most of the time. i was swinging my right foot ard the space b/w the last chair and the wall. HAHA. and another instructor, jordan, was saying, "man, i realli hate the wall." HAHA. the 3 ips were standing on one chair only loh! HAHA. funny funny! there was alot of commotion in the middle, with the j1s arranging themselves, den we have to say our birth dates. HAHA. im the oldest among the ips.

and it went like this, "aug....sept....oct...nov.... dec... 26 january 1991." HAHA.
after that was HEIGHT. OMG. clemen is so insensitive, must say SHORT to TALL, and not TALL to TALLEST.
and i found out that im the THIRD SHORTEST IN OAC!!!!!!!!!!

before the race, we had another small activity, whereby every one of us have to walk through a supposedly "mine field" with coloured plastic balls representing mines, blindfolded. one person has to tell the next person how to cross the mine field without stepping on the mines, if step on a mine, have to start again. HAHA! alot of us find directing instructions v slow, and some just RUN blindly (seriously blindly) across the mine field and succeeded! HAHA.
SUPER FUNNY.
the incredible race was just running ard sentosa, and den my grp we climbed over a gate to the musical fountain HAHAHAHA cos we cant be bothered to walk one big big round.
our excuse was that the gate only says on ONE side that no trespassing, and didnt state that we cannot do it from the other way round. HAHA.
ARCHERY! we have to burst the balloons on the board. my grp got 3 pple with exp, pei wei, han kiat and... me. HAHA. but mine cannot be counted lah! i tried it in taiwan last year, and i struck ONE out of TEN, and the pathetic ONE time was only on the WHITE part of the paper.
AHHHH! HAHA. but nvm... I STILL MANAGED TO BURST ONE BALLOON ON THE BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOHOOO!
but actually my aiming v inaccurate. i wanted to aim for one in the middle.
den cos i snapped (the term whereby you PLUCK the bow, and not let it go naturally) the bow and the arrow went UPWARDS at the last part, and just nice burst the balloon ABOVE the middle one. HAHAHAHHAA.
but finger v painful lah, after tt. i dont realli like archery cos my aiming sucks, but it was ok, i guess. but i don think i will look forward to going for an archery course or smthg. HAHA. i'll come back home with swollen hands.
the mouse trap activity was cool! we learnt how to engage a mouse trap, and den learn how to deactivate it, if you can call it de-activating, overcame our fear with mouse traps.
for me, i will still be scared of mouse traps lah, but at least i have experience with it! (:
and after tt we had to built a structure with it, which was quite unsuccessful for my grp,
but still, enriching! (:
for the moehog walk, the instructor say arrange ourselves alternatively, guy girl guy girl. at first we held hands but found out that it was realli unstable and weak, and changed to locking arms. HAHA. the camera man has a very queer sense of humour lah! he go and take ying jie with two of his hands touching two girls' butts. (the two girls locked their arms but he din bend his elbows)
after we tried it again and again, we realized that we must move faster to overcome our fear, c os the more u stay, the more u shake, and the more you will lose your balance. and the last succussful try han kiat was in front of me.

when we nearly reached the end, the whole rope was shaking and i was like.
me: "WHO'S SHAKING THE ROPE!!!!!!!!!!?!?!??!?!?!?!"
han kiat: "MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"
den i saw his legs are like shaking like mad, his arms oso shake shake shake.
AHHHHHH!
den when he reach the end, he clung on to the pole and nv go down to the ground.
all of us were like.
eh? why not moving? OH. HAN KIAT!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!?! GET OFFFFFF THE POLE!!!
HAHA.
super funny.

this activity brought our moral down alot.. cos we kept trying and trying but cannot manage to balance it for a VERY LONG TIME.
at first, we had a realli fun time going up and down the plank on each side, HAHA.
in the end, all of us split into two equal weight groups and stood on the edge of the plank in a circle/rectangle, with garfield sitting in the middle, and grace and theresa to walk ard in the space in the middle of the plank.
and we managed to balance the plank for 10 seconds!!!!!!!!!
WOOHOO!
after that was debrief and we looked at the videos and the camera man took. HAHA. super funny! i hope they will copy the cd and give to all those who went for the leadership course. den the camera man always like to take funny pictures of pple! like me taking archery. i spotted the camera man when iw as about to shoot and i gave him a funny and puzzled look, den he took it down! AND IT WAS ON THE SLIDESHOW. AH!!!!
and lotsa funny things too, like the moehog walk and ying jie touching two girls' butts. HAHA.
cant realli see who the girls are cos we stand one facing in front and one facing the back, and just now take the guy's side, which is ying jie.
and THAT was the end of our leadership course! it was a realli realli realli nice experience, and i hope that everyone has a chance to go for it! (:

yumyum. after tt we(me jillian theresa sharine karen) went shopping for awhile. karen arh!!! the more she look the more she wan to buy! HAHA. she spent ard 10 dollars in half an hour's time!!! we walked into around 2 or 3 shops only, den she bought mirror, hair ties, hair clips ETC ETC...
after that, i went home with karen. reached home at ard 7.45, not bad.

oh manns. theresa and karen are thinking of some ICE SKATING OUTING FOR OAC!!!!!!
gosh. i ALWAYS forget how to ice skate leh. you can ask me ice skating how can forget, but i tell u, I FORGET!!!!!!!!!!!!
i know HOW, but i always lose the "feel".
haha. and even if i practise for one hour, i can only ice skate slowly.

today i went out for lunch with jing huai!!!
lent her harry potter and the goblet of fire dvd, plus tranferred over devil beside me to her com.
and I FINNALY got her bd prezzie!
HAHA. i think its super nice and unique leh.
feel so proud of myself. im not those kinda pple who will spend alot of money on birthday presents for pple.
last time i always don like to give pple purchased presents, and prefer to make one myself, cos it feels more sincere, BUT... as i grew up, i got no time and no more brain juices to be creative le, so i sorta switched over to buying.
hai hai hai. oh oh. i bought her this genuine four leaf clover necklace!

HO. saw super nice and BIG (yes, big) happy house wallets! or rather, purse lah.
but i prefer to call them wallets.
they are SUPER BIG! can put 6-8 cards, coins, notes, yada yada, and costs b/w 16 - 25 dollars bah. think its q cheap.. considering that the current wallet that i have is more expensive and not so big (in terms of efficiency) oso.
im gonna get one for my next wallet! (:
hopefully can stuff my new handphone inside too. HO.
okae... haven do my hw yet!
